We're Rebuilding Our Online Configurator

We have been rebuilding our online configurator from the ground up, and it is close enough to done that we want to show you where it is headed before it ships.

What's coming

The heart of the new tool is a visual, drag-and-drop canvas. You place connectors, cables, splices, and bundles, then wire them together on screen, the way you would sketch the harness on a whiteboard. The design you see is the harness you get.

Part selection follows the way engineers actually think. Pick a connector family first, then a pin count, then the exact part. No wading through a flat part-number catalog hoping the right housing floats past.

Pins carry real information too. Color-code pins by signal so the design reads at a glance, and choose the crimp for every pin so the terminations are decided up front instead of discovered later.

And the part we like most: a real-time bill of materials and pricing that updates as you design. Add a connector and the BOM reflects it immediately, along with the price. You will also be able to save and load projects, and export a screenshot of your design to drop into an email or a design review.

Why we're building it

Getting a custom harness made usually means a long email thread: a sketch goes out, questions come back, a spec sheet goes out, a revision comes back, and days pass before anyone talks about price. The goal of the new configurator is to collapse all of that: go from idea to a priced, buildable harness in the browser, without emailing spec sheets back and forth.

Soon. We are in the final stretch before launch, tightening the details that only show up under real use. If you are curious, an early look is already up at the new configurator, and we would genuinely like to hear what you think of it.
