Terms of Service
Hey there! Welcome to MiniProto. We like to keep things simple, so here are the basics of working with us.
The Basics
By using our website and services, you're agreeing to these terms. MiniProto Corporation runs miniproto.com where we help you design and order custom wire harnesses. Pretty straightforward!
What We Do
We provide tools to design wire harnesses and we manufacture them for you. You can:
- Use our online configurator to design harnesses
- Upload your own drawings for custom quotes
- Order pre-designed harnesses from our catalog
Quotes & Orders
When you request a quote, we'll get back to you within 1 business day. Quotes are valid for 30 days, or until material costs change by more than 10% due to forces beyond our control (supply chain disruptions, tariffs, etc.), whichever comes first. Once you approve a quote and pay, we'll start making your harnesses with the lead time we agreed on.
Important: Since we're making custom products just for you, we can't accept returns on custom harnesses unless there's a defect or we made a mistake.
Payment
Full payment is required before production begins. We accept credit card (preferred for orders under $10,000) and ACH payments. Credit terms (Net 15/30) are available for repeat customers with established accounts - never on first orders. Contact us to set up a credit account.
Shipping
Orders ship FOB origin from Kingston, NY. Title and risk of loss transfer to you upon shipment. Claims for shipping damage must be filed with the carrier. We recommend shipping insurance for high-value orders.
Our 90-Day Warranty
We stand behind our work! All harnesses come with a 90-day warranty from the date of shipment. We'll repair or replace any harness with manufacturing defects at no charge. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, improper installation, modification, or environmental conditions outside specified ratings.
Parts You Send Us
Sometimes you might send us connectors or other parts to use in your harness. Here's the deal: you assume the risk for any parts you send to us. We'll take good care of them, but we can't be responsible if something happens during shipping or if they're not suitable for the application. Please account for overage when sending parts - contact us for recommended quantities.
Your Account
Keep your account info up to date and your password secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't use our service for anything illegal or to spam people.
Intellectual Property
Your designs are yours. We just need permission to use them to make your harnesses. Our website, tools, and any pre-designed harnesses are ours. Fair enough?
The Legal Stuff
We do our best to keep the website running smoothly, but sometimes things happen. We can't guarantee 100% uptime. MiniProto is not liable for how harnesses are used or any failures, damages, or injuries resulting from their use. Our liability is limited to the value of your order - we're not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These terms are governed by U.S. law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts where we're located.
Changes & Special Cases
We might update these terms from time to time. We'll let you know if we make any big changes. Also, some terms may change on a case-by-case basis for specific orders - we'll always tell you if that's happening and get your agreement first.
