TE AMPSEAL Connector Guide

AMPSEAL connects a cable harness to an equipment header. The wire-side catalog covers 8, 14, 23, and 35 positions; the header on the device must match the housing arrangement.

Wire-side catalog reference. Confirm current availability and complete harness pricing in the configurator or quote.

Choose the Interface

Choose the cavity count first, then the housing wire-seal range. The 16–20 AWG and 20–24 AWG housings use different contact and cavity-plug paths. Check insulation diameter as well as conductor gauge.

Complete the Connection

The housing includes its interface seal and wedgelock. A backshell requires two separately supplied halves. Choose a cavity plug for the selected wire-seal range and seal every pierced unused cavity.

Pinout and Cavity Numbering

Use the TE housing drawing to confirm cavity identifiers and viewing direction. Document the mating header and circuit assignments separately; a cavity count alone does not define an electrical pinout.

Each part page links to its manufacturer drawing. Use that source to check the mating face, wire side, keying, and cavity identifiers before committing a circuit map.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an AMPSEAL housing include the contacts and backshell?

Contacts and backshell halves are separate parts in this catalog. The interface seal and wedgelock are integral housing features. Select contacts and cavity plugs for the exact housing wire-seal range.
